Musee
du Quebec
In keeping with the flavor that drives this city, this
national collection houses over 20,000 works, produced
in Quebec from the beginning of the 18th century to
the present day. This museum has played a vital role
throughout the years as acting historian and has kept
a record of varied art and artists that call Quebec
home. Many facets of art find themselves on display
and are divided not be genre, but rather four separate
historical periods.
Place Royal
With fabulous boutiques, decadent eateries, talented
street artists, and historical architecture, it is easy
to see why this is one of the most charming components
of the city. Steeped in 400 year old history, it is
one of the oldest settlements in North America and renders
itself the “birthplace of French Civilization”
on this continent.
Plains
of Abraham
Nestled between Quebec City and the magnificent St.
Lawrence River, The Battlefields Park, better known
as the Plains of Abraham, is one of the world’s
most treasured parks. The site of many clashes between
the French and British empires in their struggle for
domination, the Park was the scene of the 1759 battle
that forever changed the course of North American history.
