Banff
Upper Hot Springs
In 1883, two railway workers noticed steam rising from
a crack in a rock leading them to a natural mineral
spring. People from all over the world now flock to
this place that is said to hold natural healing properties.
This historic spa and bath house also possesses all
of the modern amenities that any contemporary spa might,
such as locker and towel rental, café and gift
shop.
Moraine Lake and Valley of the Ten Peaks
Hiking is an activity that sparks the interest of many
people traveling to Canada. This emerald green lake
set against a backdrop of sharp peaks is the ideal area
to explore on foot. The sight is so breathtaking that
it was formerly pictured on the back of the Canadian
$20 bill.
Sulpher
Mountain Gondola
If trekking through the landscape on foot is not your
ideal way to travel, you can still take advantage of
the natural beauty found in this area. Enjoy a 360-degree
view of Banff as you ride to the top of Sulpher Mountain
in a glass-enclosed gondola car. The four-passenger
car is a journey meant to be experienced in comfort.
At the top, take in the majestic view from indoor and
outdoor observation decks, and warm your soul with a
cup of coffee in the self-served restaurant.
Bow
Falls
As you begin your short walk from the Banff Center at
Tunnel Mountain, the spray of the falls can immediately
be felt. The Bow River drops near the divergence with
the Spray River to create this thirty foot triumph for
Mother Nature.

nature's most awe-inspiring handiwork. Four of the finest
ski areas in the Rocky Mountains are just a short drive
